Macquarie University Refugee Day Event
Co-Director of the CWF, Professor Lucy Taksa attended Macquarie University's Widening Participation Unit celebration of World Refugee Day on 20 June at the Art Gallery of NSW.
The event recognised the achievements, successes and positive contributions made by people who have journeyed from distant homelands in search of safety and peace.
Thoughtful and moving addresses were presented by Edward Santow, Human Rights Commissioner; Archie Law, Humanitarian Director at Save the Children Australia; and Sonal Singh, Macquarie's Widening Participation Planning Manager.
