Transcript requests and other documents
If you graduated after 2008
- You can request an official transcript (hard copy or digital) for a fee and access the payment portal. Digital transcripts are issued via My eQuals.

If you graduated before 2008
- You will need to request a hard copy or, in most cases, a digital copy of your transcript using this request form.
- If you do not recall your One ID or Student Number, please enter "12345678" if asked.

If you require further support, please reach out to our Service Connect team – they will be able to confirm whether your university documents are available via My eQuals and guide you through the appropriate steps on ordering them.
To request a replacement testamur, please follow the instructions provided here. If you never received your original testamur (for example you didn't attend your graduation ceremony), we recommend reviewing the graduating in absentia information as your testamur may still be held at Macquarie University.

If Ecctis or QLS require verification, you will need to submit a formal request to Service Connect. For verification requests from other third parties, you will need a signed consent form.
You are also welcome to submit an enquiry yourself via the portal if needed.
Macquarie University provides a public Graduate Register, which allows authorised third parties to verify qualifications independently and in real time:
- Graduate Register (2002 onwards) – for graduates from 2002 onwards
- Graduate Register (pre-2002) – for graduates prior to 2002.
If the qualification does not appear in the register, or if you require formal verification, please contact our Service Connect team. Make sure to provide the individual’s full name, date of birth and a signed consent form with the exact details of what you need when submitting your request.
Verification requests usually take 10 business days to process but can take up to 4 weeks to process depending on the complexity.
Names and abbreviations for all awards (certificates, degrees and diplomas) are listed by year in the Macquarie University Handbook archive.
- Click on the year you first began your studies at Macquarie to locate your degree.
- Search for your degree and open the course entry.
- You will find the shorthand name in brackets under ‘Award’.
- Then add the year of your graduation ceremony in brackets.
For example, if you enrolled into a Bachelor of Applied Finance with the degree of Bachelor of Actuarial Studies in 2010, completed your studies in 2013, but graduated in April 2014, then your official shorthand name will be BAppFinBActStud (2014).
Service Connect can sign your official documents to confirm their authenticity if you need to seek an apostille or authentication from DFAT.

Remember that joining the alumni community at Macquarie does NOT require signing up. Once you have completed your studies, whether with a degree or diploma, you automatically become a valued member of the alumni community at Macquarie.
It is free, automatic and lifelong.

Take a moment to update your details to receive the latest updates on alumni events and relevant information happening in your area.
Or you may have accidentally unsubscribed from our emails (especially event invites). We encounter this a lot with alumni, and it is mainly due to us in the past not having nuanced enough preference options.
For example, alumni may not realise that their prior request to not receive specific event information has removed them from hearing about ANY upcoming Macquarie University events or receiving our alumni communications.

Due to privacy restrictions, the University cannot share alumni contact details. But we can contact a friend on your behalf to let them know that you are looking to reconnect!

Access to University resources
Macquarie University alumni are entitled to free lifetime membership of Macquarie University Library, including borrowing privileges and special access to limited online databases and ebooks.

After graduation or withdrawal, your Macquarie student email account and storage will be fully accessible for a period of two years. This two-year period provides an opportunity to:
- recover any data (eg. email, storage, photos) that you wish to retain and store in your own repository
- provide your private email address so you can access Macquarie systems like My eQuals after your student account has been deactivated.
The University will notify you of the planned deactivation during this period.
After two years, your Macquarie student account and any email or storage held in the account will be permanently deleted. Any email forwarding you may have setup will also be deactivated.
Please update your email for seamless Macquarie communication.
Older, internally hosted email accounts (eg @laurel.ocs.mq.edu.au) no longer exists.
You can use Macquarie's iLearn up until your graduation date but you will not have access after you graduate from Macquarie University.
If you want to save your lecture notes, we advise you to do so before, or promptly after, your completion.
The Alumni Office produces Macquarie Matters e-magazine, featuring updates from the University, alumni highlights, and upcoming events.
