Macquarie University is registered by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) as a higher education provider in the category of Australian University and has authority to self-accredit its own courses. The University is also registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS Provider 00002J) and is permitted to offer courses to students studying in Australia on student visas.
