Prestigious recognition

Professor Johanna Westbrook was awarded the prestigious Health Services Research Award at Research Australia's 19th Health and Medical Research Awards in Melbourne last night. Professor Westbrook was recognised for her leadership in health services research and defining contributions to the development of the field.

Professor Shlomo Berkovsky received a commendation award in the highly competitive data innovation category for his research into privacy issues associated with mobile health apps.

Research Australia CEO Nadia Levin said the Awards celebrate Australian health and medical researchers whose achievements are driving innovation and transforming health on a national and global scale.

Research Australia is the peak national alliance for health and medical research.
