Top five patient safety experts
AIHI leads Australia
The top five Australian experts in patient safety are all from the Australian Institute of Health Innovation at Macquarie University, according to the Expertscape database. They are:
- Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite
- Professor Enrico Coiera
- Associate Professor Farah Magrabi
- Professor Johanna Westbrook
- Associate Professor Reema Harrison
In addition, Associate Professor Peter Hibbert is listed in 10th place and Professor Andrew Georgiou comes in at 12th.
Professor Braithwaite is in the top ten patient safety experts in the world according to the Expertscape database, of 66,774 listed people, across the years 2010-2021. Expertscape ranks people and institutions by expertise in more than 29,000 biomedical topics from journal publications.
