Patient safety conference

Researchers from the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) are the most represented group of presenters at an upcoming prestigious international conference on patient safety.

More than 1,500 medical professionals from over 80 countries will attend the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) conference in Cape Town, South Africa on 20-23 October 2019.

Eleven researchers from AIHI were chosen by anonymous peer review to present on a range of topics including implementation science, medication management and patient-centred care.

Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite, Founding Director of AIHI and President Elect of ISQua says, “This is amongst the most prestigious events in quality and safety in the world.”

For more than a decade, researchers from AIHI have been significant contributors to the knowledge that is presented every year at ISQua, focusing on research into quality of care and safety for patients.
