Michael Rampe Appointed to CAA Australasia Board

CACHE is delighted to celebrate the success of our Executive Committee member, Michael Rampe, who has been appointed to the board of the Australasian branch of Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology (CAA).

CAA is an international organisation that brings together archaeologists, mathematicians and computer scientists. Its aims are to encourage communication between these disciplines, to provide a survey of present work in the field and to stimulate discussion and future progress.

CAA Australasia is the regional branch of CAA International, taking in Asia, Australia, and the Pacific. CAA Australasia was established as part of the 2013 CAA International conference in Perth. The branch has since held numerous workshops, talks, writing retreats and conferences celebrating the work and research of archaeologists utilising digital methods from across the region.

Michael Rampe is the Learning Design and Production Lead in the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie University. Michael is also co-leading one of our 2022 CACHE member initiatives titled Development of Training Resources for 3D Digitisation Professional Development through the MQ3DScancorp Initiative. You can read more about this initiative in our CACHE News. We are sure Michael’s expertise will be a great asset to the CAA Australasian branch.

Congratulations to Michael on this appointment! For more about Micahel’s work please see his Macquarie University profile, LinkedIn Profile and his companies Rampe Realistic Imaging and Pedastal3D.
