Dr Doug Little of MQ Photonics gave a fascinating presentation on "A quantum-random polarised diamond laser" to MQ Photonics this week. In a carefully constructed talk, Doug carefully explained the distinction between correlated and uncorrelated random events, and their relevance to Raman scattering in Diamond Raman lasers. Doug's talk triggered interesting questions from the audience about the fundamental nature of parametric processes.
