Dr Orad Reshef of the University of Ottawa in Canada gave us a terrific talk about surface lattice resonances and resonant plasmonic metasurfaces for enhanced nonlinearity, - stimulating quite a few questions! This seminar attracted an enthusiastic audience from around the world - including British Columbia, Auckland, Thailand, Adelaide, Sydney and of course MQ Photonics!
After a nice tutorial introduction to lay the groundwork and motivation for studying surface lattice resonant nonlinear plasmonic metasurfaces, he covered some modelling and experimental approaches to understanding these interesting structures. His conviction and enthusiasm led us to believe that anyone not working on surface lattice resonances was missing out!
