We were treated to tour through the world of helium superfluid opto-mechanics thanks to Dr Glen Harris of the University of Queensland. Results in low-threshold Brillouin lasing, 2-D vortices and superfluid microscopy show this system reveals a fascinating range of novel and diverse phenomena.
