Dr Simon Gross gave a great seminar to MQ Photonics on Ultrafast Laser Inscription - material science, the future of fibre optical networks, and commercial applications. His research on ultrafast laser inscription and optimising the glass substrates addresses a range of science and engineering challenges. We also heard about developments at Modular Photonics, which is going from strength to strength!
