Dr Paloma Arroyo Huidobro of the University of Lisbon, Portugal gave one of our two joint seminars for MQ Photonics and Quantum groups. She provided a great introduction on Topological Nanophotonics: Robust Control of Light at the Nanoscale, offering a historical perspective on topological structures with fermions as well as bosons.

The second talk was on Topology meets Quantum Optics by Dr Alejandro Gonzales Tudela of CSIC in Madrid, Spain.  He built nicely on the introduction by Paloma and developed the idea of individual and collective effects in quantum topological behaviour.
