Dr Carlo Bradac, UTS, returned to Macquarie via zoom to talk about his work on the intriguing properties of "Room-temperature manipulation of spin defects in 2D van der Waals materials".
Carlo gave us a great tutorial on these materials and the mystery colour centres in hexagonal Boron Nitride that he and his collaborators seek to understand. This is a fascinating and fast-moving field!
