Dr Adam Bennet gave a great talk to MQ Photonics and our Quantum Science and Engineering colleagues entitled "Towards a Quantum Optical Randomness Beacon". He provided a gentle introduction to the mysteries of entanglement and some of the subtleties of what happens in a down-conversion nonlinear optical crystal. His exploration of the nature of randomness helps to illuminate this fascinating area of photonics and physics!
