A/Prof Jianzhen Ou (RMIT) gave us an informative seminar on his research on 2D metal oxides for chemical sensing. This is an intriguing model for plasmonic sensors, employing an insulator to metal transition of the material so that charge transfer enhances the response of the sensor.
