Speaker: Professor Harriet Hiscock is a consultant paediatrician and National Health and Medical Research Council Practitioner Fellow. She is Associate Director, Research at the Centre for Community Child Health, Director of the Royal Children's Hospital Health Services Research Unit and Group Leader, Health Services, Murdoch Children's Research Institute.

Webinar: Over the past two decades, Australia’s paediatric population has grown by 19% or 876,062 children. Yet children represent an ever-smaller proportion of primary care visits with increased demand on hospital emergency departments and clinics for conditions that could be managed in primary care. Strengthening Care 4 Children is an integrated GP-paediatrician model with promising pilot findings, now being tested in a step-wedge trial.

In this Webinar, Professor Hiscock will discuss the model, pilot results, challenges to implementation in Covid-19 and challenges for scale up. Associate Professor Yvonne Zurynski and Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite will join Professor Hiscock for a discussion about implementation science.
