About the seminar

Telemedicine solutions fulfill a natural demand in the digital age. The Region of Southern Denmark has had a great deal of success in developing and implementing telemedicine solutions, such as home monitoring of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients, home monitoring of women with pregnancy complications and home-based wound treatment.

However, broad implementation of evidence based telemedicine solutions presents a variety of challenges and barriers.

This presentation will focus on which challenges and barriers the Region of Southern Denmark had to overcome to implement a wide variety of telemedicine solutions and will include examples of both successes and failures.
