International COVID survey

Seeking personal stories

28 July 2020

If you, or someone you know, has contracted COVID-19 while working in healthcare, we'd like to invite you to participate in our survey.

We are seeking to gather the lived experiences of individuals who have been infected by COVID-19 while working on the front lines of care.

Who can participate?

  • People who contracted COVID-19 while working in healthcare
  • People who know someone who contracted COVID-19 while working in healthcare
  • People who know someone who died after contracting COVID-19 while working in healthcare

The study is being conducted by the Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI), Macquarie University, along with the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), the Italian Network for Safety in Health Care (INSH), Federation of Italian Medical Scientific Societies (FISM) and the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences, University of Siena, Italy.

“While statistics can tell us a lot about the pandemic, personal stories are vitally important to understanding the anthropology of disease,” says Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite, Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, and President-Elect of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
