CanEngage Symposium

CanEngage Symposium

Together we strive for safer care

On 12th September 2023, The Australian Institute of Health Innovation held the CanEngage Symposium, hosted by Associate Professor Reema Harrison who leads the Cancer Australia and National Health and Medical Research Council funded research project, CanEngage.

The Symposium was attended by participants from all sectors of the health system, including clinical, management and policy, and those who have lived experience of cancer.

The findings from the CanEngage project, aimed at enhancing patient safety amongst CALD consumers through the development and validation of co-designed patient engagement practices, were presented by Professor Harrison. We also heard from consumers about their experiences and learned about the latest research being done to co-design solutions, and how these are being introduced into the health system.
