About the Conference

The 6th Australasian Egyptology Conference aims to promote recent research in archaeology and Egyptology, to share ideas, and to encourage networking. The academic program will be a hybrid event over three days from 9–11 June. It will include presentations from keynote speakers as well as from Australasian and international academics and students. The papers are grouped into streams, covering an array of themes, including archaeological discoveries, scientific analysis, cultural memory, gender studies, philology, iconography, and the life and times of the boy King Tutankhamun.

This 3-day Conference will be followed on 12 June by a one-day in-person event of special lectures focusing on The Life and Times of Tutankhamun. The lectures will be presented by our invited guests, Drs Dimitri Laboury, Simon Connor, and Anna Stevens.

The Conference will occur at the Arts Precinct (Building C) at Macquarie University, North Ryde, Sydney, and virtually.
