Welcome to the homepage of the Sixth Australasian Egyptology Conference (#AEC6). The Australian Centre for Egyptology looks forward to this long-awaited opportunity to greet everyone interested in current Egyptological research and fieldwork.

Foremost, we meet as a global community of scholars to connect and re-connect in bonds of friendship and collegiality. We do this on the traditional lands of Wattamatagal people of the Darug Aboriginal nation, on which Macquarie University is located.

Join us in-person and on-line to engage in some of the latest ideas in Egyptology. Globally, new dialogues in the discipline are challenging past approaches, questions which are reflected in the presentations.

The Conference program includes papers, posters, museum visits, networking, hospitality and more, conducted over three days from 9–11 June. The AEC Conference will be followed by a special one-day public conference hosted by the Rundle Foundation for Egyptian Archaeology on Sunday 12 June on The Life and Times of Tutankhamun, featuring special guest lectures.

Registations are open until 1 June 2022. All the information you need to participate is on this website. You will receive a warm welcome at Macquarie University, and we look forward to seeing you.
