Welcome to the homepage of Egyptology at Macquarie University! We are proud to be the only institution in Australia with a 40-year history of fieldwork, research and teaching in ancient Egyptian language, history, visual culture and archaeology. Our Mission is generously supported by the Members of the Rundle Foundation for Egyptian Archaeology. We invite you to join us on this journey.
To give visitors a richer experience of the Australian Museum exhibition, Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs, Macquarie University and Australian Museum have co-curated a series of public programmes called Gateway to Egypt, featuring lectures, conversations and activities designed to suit all ages and interests.
