About the scholarship

The Macquarie Leaders and Achievers Scholarship recognises your potential and provides you with financial support while you study at Macquarie University. Not all students who get an offer of admission via the Macquarie Leaders and Achievers Early Entry Scheme will receive a scholarship offer. 10 scholarships are available for outstanding applicants within the Macquarie University catchment area and 10 scholarships are available for outstanding applicants outside the Macquarie University catchment area but must be within NSW and ACT.

Duration

This scholarship is awarded for up to 5 years subject to meeting ongoing eligibility criteria.

Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be an Australian citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
• Have received an early offer through the Macquarie Leaders and Achievers entry scheme for the relevant session
• Have demonstrated extensive engagement or significant achievement of service to local or wider community, resulting in the positive change or enhancement for the benefit of others
• Scholarship eligibility is judged on merit
