CACHE was delighted to co-host with the Faculty of Arts Environmental Humanities Research Stream, a visit to Macquarie University by archaeology students from the University of Hamburg. The visit was funded through strategic funds from the University of Hamburg to support an ongoing relationship with Macquarie University. The students also visited UNSW.

The students developed a collaborative video through an environmental humanities partnership exchange with the University of Hamburg study program entitled "Re-connect together. Environmental education across disciplines". To support this process, the students spent a week attending reading groups, receiving feedback on their projects, participating in a video production workshop, visiting the Macquarie University History Museum, and visiting sites across Sydney.

The final video, titled “Traces of the Anthropocene. Exploring Grounded Futures” was presented at a showcase, held at the Wallamatagal Campus on Tuesday 4 October 2022.

The students will continue to refine the video for wider distribution. CACHE hopes to build on this exchange for further collaborations with staff and students at the University of Hamburg.
