CACHE is delighted to congratulate one of our inaugural 2021 CACHE ECR Indigenous Australian Research Fellows, Zac Roberts, who has been appointed an Associate Lectureship in the Department of Indigenous Studies at Macquarie University. Zac is a Yuin scholar and PhD candidate in the Department of Indigenous Studies conducting transdisciplinary research across the fields of history, archaeology, and Indigenous Studies.

Zac’s CACHE fellowship project, entitled “Towards an Indigenist research model in Australian archaeology” examined the centrality of western epistemology in the discipline of archaeology, and the way the discipline can work to centre sovereignty in theory and practice. This fellowship was sponsored by CACHE Director, Professor Ronika Power. You can read more about Zac fellowship project featured in our 2021 CACHE Matters E-Zine

Please join us as we congratulate Zac and wish him the all the best in this new role. You can see his Macquarie University profile for more about his publications and projects, and engage with him through Twitter and LinkedIn.
