CACHE Director Bronwen Neil was interviewed by Indira Naidoo on ABC Radio, last week, about the infamous Byzantine empress Irene. The segment 'This Week in History' goes for about 30-40 mins. This Sunday, 19 April in 797, Empress Irene had her only son blinded so she could take the throne from him. What an example for female leaders around the world!
