Dr. Lina Nope-Williams

Dr Lina Nope-Williams

Lina has a great interest in research on food, culture and nutrition, indigenous, gender, social and cultural studies, ethnography, Indonesian and Asian Studies, and interdisciplinary approaches. She was previously a staff member at the Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University (Yogyakarta), was a lecturer in the Language Implementation Unit, Jenderal Soedirman University (Central Java), and was a research assistant at the University of Newcastle. Occasionally, she has given guest lectures in Indonesian Studies at the University of Sydney.

She received her Ph.D. in 2014 from the Department of Gender & Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney after completing her thesis: ‘The Construction and Reconstruction of Gender and Identity through Food in Indonesia’. She also has a masters degree in American Studies from Gadjah Mada University and a Bachelor of Education degree from Sanata Dharma University. Her latest publication is the book chapter ‘Food and Identity Construction: The Impact of Colonization in Indonesian Society’, published in Leong-Salobir, C. (Ed.), Routledge Handbook of Food in Asia, Oxon: Routledge, pp. 58-72. She is currently a research assistant at Macquarie University.

Amrithnath SB is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. His research interests revolve around Intellectual Property Law, Environmental Law and Natural Resources Law.  He completed BAL. LL.B from University of Kerala, LL.M in Environmental Law from Cochin University of Science and Technology and LL.M in Intellectual Property Law from King’s College London. He is a Life Member of Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) and was a Research Assistant to Prof. NR Madhava Menon.

Rachmi Hertanti

Rachmi Hertanti

Rachmi Hertanti is a labour lawyer and has been actively working in a non-governmental organization called Indonesia for Global Justice who raises critical issues around international trade and investment agreements. She obtained a master's degree in International Trade Law from the University of Indonesia in 2012.

During her 11 years working at IGJ, she has been involved in the process of advocating for national and international policies, including encouraging several initiatives to work with civil society groups in Indonesia and internationally related to the globalization and free trade agenda. Some of the focus issues that she is working on includes TRIPS agreements related to patents on seeds and medicines, Bilateral Investment Treaties and Investor-State Dispute Settlement Mechanisms (especially on the mining sector in Indonesia), trade in agriculture, digitalization and its impact to workers in Indonesia, including trade and sustainable development. She has involved in various negotiation processes for international trade and investment agreements with national and international civil society networks aim to ensure that the provision of the agreement will regulate fairer economic practices and protect the sustainability of the environment.

Ananda Ramadhan Maulana

Ananda Ramadhan Maulana

Ananda started his career as an attorney in 2014 when he joined the law office of Maulana and Partners Law Firm. After years of handling cases from the trial court level to the Supreme Court, he became very prominent in litigation. In addition to litigating, Ananda also expands his expertise in drafting legal opinions and negotiating dispute settlements. Besides being active in lawyering, in 2021 Ananda also published a book concerning Intellectual Property in Indonesia, “Pengantar (Akta) Perjanjian Hak Kekayaan Intelektual Untuk Notaris dan Konsultan HKI (Introduction (Deed) of Intellectual Property Rights Agreements for Notaries and IPR Consultants)” as co-writer.
