Located centrally on campus, the Library is a learning and research environment purpose-built to facilitate interactions between people and knowledge. Completed in 2011 the Library's building design was inspired by the native parklands of the campus with an emphasis on environmental sustainability, light and connection.
The Library has a footprint of 6,770sqm with a gross floor area is 17,997sqm across 5 levels and a seating capacity of up to 3,000 seats. Other features include a cafe at the entrance, the first automated book storage and retrieval system in Australia, dedicated postgraduate research areas, an exhibition space and the Lachlan and Elizabeth Macquarie Room
