Event Name Emotions, Memory and Place: Beneath the Clocktower
Start Date Jun 10, 2019 9:00 am
Description

This collaborative, themed workshop between Macquarie University and the State Library of NSW (SLNSW) is co-organised by Louise D’Arcens, Head of the MQ node of the ARC Centre for the History of Emotions and Centre for Applied History. It will accompany the State Library's exhibition Beneath the Clocktower (May-Nov 2019), which uses audiovisual storytelling methods to narrate the historical layers underlying the site that is now Central Station.

This event and its flow-on outputs aim to consolidate and showcase the rich scholarly and creative expertise within the faculty in emotions history, storytelling methodology, and strengthen MQ/SLNSW engagement. Its social benefit lies in its focus on a significant local site to explore cultural identity and social inclusion.
