Overview
This workshop will be presented by Professor Stephen Crain and Dr Iain Giblin for CLaS and Linguistics HDR Students and Early Career Researchers. The workshop will introduce the basic building blocks for writing a successful abstract for a conference submission – including the essential steps for constructing an abstract, as well as a  list of do’s and don’ts. Participants will critically examine a number of abstracts, and there will be practical exercises on revising abstracts. As part of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to network over afternoon tea.
