HDR students from the department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and Literature (MCCALL) are holding an end of year conference for all BPhil, MRes, and PhD students, as well as casual tutors and ECRs, from across the Faculty. In doing so, we hope to highlight our shared interests and our shared commitment to rigorous scholarship. This conference aims to showcase how researchers in the humanities aspire to remain hopeful in a myriad of contexts, particularly in times of economic, environmental and political crisis. Through our range of disciplinary, methodological, and theoretical perspectives, the conference brings together HDRs and ECRs from across the Faculty of Arts to understand how our research speaks to hope and future possibilities.
