Fee and census date information 2008
At Macquarie University, a local student can be studying either as a ‘Commonwealth supported student’ or a ‘domestic fee-paying student’.
Commonwealth supported places (CSP) are available for all undergraduate courses of study and designated postgraduate courses of study. As a Commonwealth supported student you will pay a student contribution for your units of study. You may be eligible for Commonwealth assistance through the HECS-HELP loan scheme.
Students enrolled in the Advanced Science units MATH233, MATH334, BIOL111, BIOL112, BIOL225, BIOL226, BIOL365, BIOL366, CBMS112, CBMS113, and CBMS388 will pay $0 student contribution for these units. Students completing their Honours year in Science and Technology (see Undergraduate Student Contribution Bands 2008 below) will only have to pay the Band 1 amount for their student contribution for these units.
Domestic fee-paying places (DFP) are available for most undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. You are required to meet the full cost of your course by paying the tuition fee up-front. You may be eligible for Commonwealth assistance through the FEE-HELP loan scheme.
