The International Symposium of Fruit Flies of Economic Importance was held at Macquarie University. It was a great success.
From 13-18 November, Macquarie University was home to one of the most important events in the fruit fly world, the 11th International Symposium on Fruit Flies of Economic Importance https://www.11isffei.com/.
With in-person participation from 46 countries, and online from 33, and participation from the major players in state and commonwealth government and industry, this was a wonderful opportunity to highlight Macquarie's national and international prominence in this field.
Delegates were very impressed by Macquarie's campus, and many new opportunities for research training, research projects and impact were discussed. It was wonderful to have our global community join us at Macquarie.
