'China's Role in the Southern Ocean' - A special talk by A/Prof Nengye Liu
On 28th July, Associate Professor Nengye Liu was invited by the Wilson Center (a Washington-based think tank) and the Pew Charitable Trust (an influential marine conservation NGO) to talk at the panel "China's Role in the Southern Ocean".
A/Prof Liu, together with colleagues from Shanghai Jiao Tong Unviersity and Duke Kunshan Univeristy, discussed the future of establishing marine protected areas in the Antarctic waters. This virtual seminar attracted more than 300 participants around the world.
