In this article, the Education HQ News Team reports on the upcoming 'Working Memory and Reading Difficulties' workshop hosted by the Macquarie University Reading Clinic. This workshop is 'set to shed welcome light on a complex learning difficulty; exploring the apparent link between working memory deficit and dyslexia.' 

As Erin Banales, clinic coordinator, reports "What we’ve seen happen is that people have made the assumption that there’s a cause or relationship there, that, working memory must be part of the reading difficulty.

And that assumption has been made without a lot of research evidence yet. So we talk about this relationship and whether or not it’s causal." ...
