Learning Education Aspiration Participation - LEAP

LEAP is Macquarie University's exciting new outreach program that raises aspirations, creates possibilities and actively supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds to successfully participate in higher education.
LEAP has been established by Macquarie University and is funded by the Commonwealth Government's Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP), as part of the Bridges to Higher Education initiative.
For future students
LEAP provides you with opportunities to participate in activities you might not have thought about before, for example taking part in a robotics workshop or working with a university mentor to build particular skills. LEAP opens up new possibilities and a different way of thinking about what to do with your life when you leave school.
For teachers and community leaders
LEAP supports you in a variety of ways in your work with disadvantaged school students, for example through professional development support. LEAP provides a range of rigorously evaluated curriculum-related and extra-curricular activities designed to enhance aspiration and develop the potential of your students.
For parents and care givers
LEAP increases your child's confidence in her or his educational abilities, and opens up new possibilities for future careers. University campus visits and fun activities enrich and add value to school learning, and lead your child to see his or her future in a new and positive way.
