University Blues winners get together to celebrate their sporting achievement

/ September 8, 2016

Recently Macquarie Blues winners were invited to join fellow sporting high achievers at a combined event for Blues from Sydney University, the University of New South Wales and UTS.

Held to coincide with the Olympics, the Sydney Metro Blues event was held in the City and was attended by Blues greats Robert Moscato (Karate 1992), Elisa Barnard (Archery 2013), Andrew Clark (Mountain biking 2012), Annelise Reinthal (Snow sports 2009), Isabel Menton (Snow skiing 2008), Cheryl Chan (Fencing 2010), Stephanie O’Connor (Equestrian 2013), Donald Cameron (Swimming 2013), Dimitri Vidin (Tennis 2015), and Lachlan Doyle (Kiteboarding 2013).

This year’s annual Blues Awards will be held on Thursday 3 November 2016. Over the past four decades, Blues Awards have been awarded for outstanding achievement in university sport. The award exemplifies the extraordinary level of sporting brilliance at Macquarie University and becomes the highlight of many sporting careers and we look forward to welcoming new Blues to our already outstanding lineup of athletes.
