A key philosophy of our research is multidisciplinary collaboration to address pressing medical and health challenges. For example, we pursue a significant body of laboratory-based research across a range of questions in the molecular, cellular and systems biology of disease, combined with strong clinical partnerships and a constant eye towards future clinical application.
Likewise, our research on health systems and services is highly collaborative, working within our own Macquarie University Hospital and with many other hospitals and service providers nationwide to improve the healthcare system.
A common thread to our research is the aspiration to deliver research outcomes that lead to new clinical treatments and innovations in clinical practice, or that lead to changes in healthcare systems, towards improving patient outcomes.
