What you need to apply
Your application will require copies of the following documents:
- Proof of identity, citizenship, and/or permanent residency status (including proof of name change where applicable)
- Evidence of previous academic qualifications and transcripts (including translations if your qualifications are not in English)
- Evidence of English proficiency (where applicable)
In addition to the documentation outlined above, you're also required to submit a Personal Statement (maximum of 2 A4 pages). The Personal Statement should include:
- an outline of your understanding of Speech Pathology as practiced in Australia
- your reasons for wanting to enter this profession; and
- any other factors relevant to your application
When enrolling, successful applicants are also required to provide a current NSW Working with Children Check.
Applications for the program are competitive and satisfying admission criteria does not guarantee a place.
If you are applying on the basis of prior professional work experience and do not have study in at least five of the following topical areas: Phonetics, Phonology, Grammar/Syntax, Psycholinguistics, Semantics, Morphology, Language Development, Psychology; then you MUST also register for and complete a Casper test for the 2026-2027 admissions cycle in line with our application deadline of 31 October 2026.
Casper tests are now open. Test dates are limited and you must register an Acuity Insights account to view and book an available test session.
Please note that you will be prompted to make payment when reserving your test. Failure to register for and complete the Casper test will result in your application being considered incomplete.
