China events

Hundreds of alumni recently came together to reconnect with old friends and welcome new alumni who have recently graduated from Macquarie at events held in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. As well as the Vice-Chancellor Professor S Bruce Dowton, who shared Macquarie’s vision for the future with the very appreciative audience, speakers included Hong Kong’s Sammy So, Beijing’s Jerry Zhou and Shanghai’s Gavin Burton. They spoke about their own success stories as well as the value of the alumni network and of connecting and sharing with other like-minded people.

220 recent graduates caught up in the city recently for the latest Backpack to Briefcase event. As well as catching up with old classmates, recent graduates participated in a panel discussion that focused on what recruiters are looking for, how they identify talent, and how graduates can present their skills and qualities to make them stand out from the crowd.
