Please note: If you are a current or previous Macquarie University student, you should submit your application through the 'my application and offers' tab in eStudent. If you have forgotten your Student ID or password, please contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
What you need to apply
Your application will require copies of the following documents:
- Proof of identity, citizenship, and/or permanent residency status (including proof of name change where applicable)
- Evidence of previous academic qualifications and transcripts (including translations if your qualifications are not in English)
- Evidence of English proficiency (where applicable)
- Current resume and workplace reference letter (where seeking entry through previous work experience)
In addition to the documentation outlined above, you're also required to:
- Submit evidence of your current NAATI Auslan-English accreditation or equivalent
- Provide a personal statement (maximum 300 words) outlining your motivation for applying to the program.
As part of the competitive selection process, applicants may also be asked to participate in an online interview to demonstrate their interpreting skills from early December 2025.
Applications for the 2026 intake are open from 3 September 2025 to 9 February 2026. As there are limited places in this degree, applications submitted by 7 December 2025, will be prioritized, with offers going out in mid-December. If any places remain available, applications submitted after 7 December 2025 and by 9 February 2026 will be considered.
