The objectives of the DECRA scheme are to:|
A DECRA recipient may be awarded ARC funding of up to $140,858 per year of funding. The per annum salary contribution from the ARC is fixed at $100,858 (2017$), including 30% on-costs, and up to a maximum of $40,000 project costs. Salary and/or project costs will not be awarded separately.
Funding for a 2020 DECRA Project will commence effective 1 January 2020, unless other arrangements are approved by the ARC.
The Faculties have their own approval and review processes for grants under this scheme. They may also have deadlines for submission of draft applications that are earlier than the Research Services deadlines. Please ensure that you contact your Faculty, as early as possible, for information on process and deadlines. Faculty contacts:

Introduction to the ARC DECRA Funding Scheme
About: This workshop will provide general background information on the ARC DECRA funding scheme. Early career researchers who have not applied for ARC funding in the past will benefit and are strongly encouraged to attend. The workshop will cover eligibility, ARC and MQ funding, the application process and structure, assessment process, and research support services available to applicants.
