The results are in: What you said about This Week

Welcome to another year of This Week. We hope you enjoyed your summer and are ready for a busy 2016.

We’ve spent the summer reviewing the results of our recent reader survey. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete it – your feedback has been extremely valuable in helping us make This Week a more interesting and informative resource for you.

We’re working on turning your feedback and suggestions into a new and improved This Week e-newsletter and website. Without giving too much away, some of the improvements you’ll see include enhanced mobile optimisation, opportunities for you to have your say on issues, and more stories that are of interest to a wider range of staff.

You told us you’d like more information about upcoming events, insights into the functions and activities of specific teams and individuals at Macquarie, and a greater celebration of our achievements – both in the research sphere and as individual professionals.

With that in mind, we’re handing the editorial pen over to you. We know there are plenty of people doing wonderful things at Macquarie and we want everyone on campus to know about them. From today’s edition, we’ll also be publishing staff-submitted stories and opinion pieces, giving you the chance to share your achievements and views with your colleagues.

We invite all staff to visit our contribute page for details on how to submit stories, notices, classifieds or event details. And stay tuned for a revamped contribution page which will make it even easier for you to share your stories – we’re really looking forward to reading them.
