Graduate Diploma of Research in Arts

With recognition of prior learning (RPL), you could get credit for your prior study and experience, reducing the duration of your studies. Credit is awarded for formal and informal or non-formal learning. You’ll need to apply for RPL once you receive your offer to study at Macquarie.

Your prior learning may consist of:

• Formal learning
• Informal and non-formal learning

All Macquarie University applicants are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency. The standard of English required for entry is described in reference to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Evidence of English proficiency, including minimum scores on other English tests and qualifications, are listed on Schedule 1 of the Graduate Research Admissions Policy.

You may also satisfy the English language requirements by:

• Passing an approved English language test at the required level.
• Having completed 5 years of study in selected English-speaking countries.
• Having completed an AQF Level 7 degree or higher in selected English-speaking countries within 2 years of application.
• Having completed a postgraduate degree from selected countries within 2 years of application, where the Diploma Supplement states that the language of instruction was English.
• Having a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant industry area in selected English-speaking countries.
