Managing unit resources
OUR INFORMATION SHEET PROVIDES ESSENTIAL ADVICE ON USING TEXT, IMAGE AND VIDEO MATERIALS IN ILEARN.
Create your reading list
The Library provides reading lists via Leganto, a reading list management system that enables you to create dynamic lists from a range of sources.
Log in to Leganto to:
- Create and edit your reading list.
- Request resources required for teaching that are not held by the Library.
Leganto and reading lists
The Library provides reading lists via Leganto, a reading list management system that enables you to create dynamic lists from a range of sources. Leganto reading lists are automatically rolled over each session with convenors receiving a notification from the system.
Reading list items can include:
- Journal articles or book chapters
- Ebooks and streaming video
- Links to freely available online resources
- Physical items (e.g. books, DVDs) in the Library collection
For more comprehensive information on Leganto, see our guide.
Leganto allows you to nominate high demand items (such as textbooks) to be placed in the Reserve collection where items are available for 3 hour loan. Use the 'Add to Reserve Collection' tag in Leganto to indicate which items should be moved to this collection.
If you set a prescribed textbook for your unit, add the ‘Required’ tag to this item, as this may require additional print copies to be added to the Reserve collection, and ebook copies to be managed for high use.
Please note: Turnaround times for new material and Reserve collection requests vary so early advice on your unit resource requirements is appreciated.
