Covidence Training Series No.3 – Extraction overview (for beginners)
Tuesday, 04 November | 01.30PM to 2.30PM
This session provides a basic understanding of Covidence's Extraction tools. It’s aimed at researchers who are familiar with the platform and working on intervention or non-intervention reviews, e.g. qualitative reviews and reviews of observational studies.
We will walk you through the steps of:
- Creating, modifying, and publishing data extraction and/or quality assessment templates
- Managing reviewers
- Extracting data from studies
- Producing consensus data so that the final data are ready for export
- Export options
Strategic Publishing for Humanities and Social Science researchers
Tuesday, 11 November| 10AM to 11.30PM
This workshop is an introduction to Strategic Publishing and will be delivered by Faculty Librarians. It will cover:
- How to identify predatory publishers and avoid them.
- How to choose outlets for publishing your research.
- How to use databases and other tools to answer your questions about the relevance and reputation of a journal or other publication that you are considering.
- The importance of Researcher Profiles and benefits of Open Access to increase the visibility of your research.
- How to publicise your research for greater impact.
