Biography

Jonathan Wylie has a broad grounding in service to the academic mission of the University and in shared institutional and academic governance. He has worked in the education sector in Australia, the United Kingdom (UK) and internationally for two decades. Previously a member of staff at Macquarie for five years, Jonathan also spent a number of years as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer for the Open University in the UK.

Vice-President, Strategy, Planning & Performance

The Vice-President, Strategy, Planning & Performance has executive responsibility for the development and execution of university strategy, for cross-institutional planning and for oversight of organisational level performance.  The role supports the Vice-Chancellor, Executive Group and University Council in ensuring the long-term sustainability and strategic direction of the University and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Whole of institution strategy.
  • Effective decision making and transformational change.
  • Planning, performance, continuous improvement and strategic focus.
  • Performance metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • Organisational progress and performance.
