An educative approach to academic integrity
In light of the recent announcement regarding the University’s independent investigation into the alleged use of the MyMaster website by some Macquarie students, the need for the Macquarie University community to continue to promote the values of academic integrity is as important as ever.
All academic staff are invited to an ‘Engaging your students in academic integrity’ workshop. This session takes an educative approach to the issue of plagiarism and aims to give staff insight into students’ perspectives on academic integrity.

How to ‘flip’ your classroom and encourage active learning
This workshop introduces the Flipped Classroom model, which inverts traditional teaching by delivering lectures and instruction online and moving activities and interaction into the classroom. Could flipping your classroom help your students become active learners, ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion? One hour’s worth of work/preparation must be completed online before joining the face-to-face workshop, which will explore design principles, activities and resources that can be used to apply the model to your context.
