You’re invited: A meeting of pioneering minds

Dear colleagues,

Since the inaugural University Annual Conference and exhibition last year we have made considerable progress at Macquarie.

In the last 12 months the University has welcomed the Australian Institute of Health Innovation—one of the world’s leading research centres in healthcare innovation—into the new Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Strategic Research Framework was launched, outlining the future of research activity and how it will address the most pressing issues the world will face in the next decade. And the newly released Learning and Teaching White Paper details how we will instill in future generations the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Led by the Office of Strategic Planning, the 2015 University Annual Conference and exhibition will again highlight the tremendous work staff have undertaken to ensure the continued future success of Macquarie.

The conference will bring together nominated representatives from across campus to hear from and talk with our executive leaders about the challenges and opportunities in some of our priority areas.

I invite all staff members to attend the exhibition held alongside the conference. You will be able to discover, question and contribute your ideas to the teams behind the great work we are achieving together here at Macquarie.

I encourage you all to attend, and I look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Professor S Bruce Dowton
Vice-Chancellor
