Vote for your UniSuper representative

At the close of the UniSuper Consultative Committee call for nominations, the University received two nominations each for the Academic staff representative and the Professional staff representative.

As such, the University is holding an election to determine the two successful candidates. The electronic ballot will be conducted by Elections Australia. It will open today (Monday 3 August 2015) and close at 5pm Monday 10 August 2015.

Eligibility
All staff who are members of the UniSuper Fund are eligible to vote for the relevant nominated staff member (Academic or Professional) in the election.

How to vote:
1. follow the Elections Australia link: www.myvote.com.au/unisuper
2. enter your staff number (with your MQ prefix)
3. enter your date of birth

More information
UniSuper is the industry superannuation fund for universities across Australia. The Consultative Committee is made up of employer and employee representatives from each university. Each university contributes two employer representatives and two employee representatives (one professional staff member and one academic staff member).

The role of the consultative committee is to:

  • advise and make recommendations to the Trustee on matters of difficulty in the implementation or application of the Trust Deed; on matters concerning the Deed; and on any other matters on which the Trustee requires advice.
  • consider and, if thought fit, give its consent in relation to any matter requiring its consent under the Trust Deed.

How long is a representative elected for?
Employee representatives are elected for a four year term.
